WATERS "High rpm", "High Leak Rate", "vacuum h/w fault", "Degasser hardware fault" (degasser h/w failure (1)) error on your Waters brand HPLC system? These type of error often indicate that your degasser vacuum pump is worn out and/or you have vacuum leaks in the degassing sensor, tubing and/or chambers. If you encounter these errors, first make sure you have fully flushed and primed ALL of the HPLC degasser channels (ALL of them) with fresh solution. Make sure the vacuum pump's exhaust line is clean, not kinked or obstructed in any way and open to the atmosphere. Next, run mobile phase through all channels for 20-minutes at an acceptable flow rate for your application. Re-check the vacuum degasser's performance again. *These check will help in determining if the errors observed are due to not maintaining the system in a fully primed state or if they are the result of a broken, damaged vacuum degasser. This is also a good time to review the age of your vacuum degasser. Is it more than five years old? If so, in our experience it is most certainly worn out and broken requiring professional service (as this model does not last longer than five years from new).
We provide professional repair services for many of the Waters brand HPLC degasser modules including the Waters Inline Degasser-AF and the integrated degassers found in the Waters Alliance 2690, 2695, 2790, 2795, 1525, Acquity UPLC, Acquity UPLC BSM, Acquity H-Class Quaternary Solvent Manager QSM, Acquity I-Class Binary Solvent Manager and nano Acquity. Replacement Waters P/N 700001352 vacuum pumps and vacuum chambers are also available at greatly reduced prices over Waters retail prices.
These degassing modules most commonly fail after five years of service. By the time you see any type of system degasser "error", the degasser has already been broken for a long time (as the "error" system used only reports when their is loss of vacuum, not damage). Replacement of the most common broken degassing module parts with new, refurbished or higher quality aftermarket parts to meet most budgets are offered. The professional diagnosis, repair and testing are all done in our shop by experienced professionals.
- Most repairs take 2-business days to complete. Professional repair services (> 25 years experience). FAST turnaround times and the lowest prices.
When you send your Waters brand degassing module to Chiralizer Services, we will correctly determine which parts of your degasser are defective and send you a formal quotation to replace them and test the system. We do charge a nominal diagnostic fee to evaluate and test your degasser, but you retain control over the decision to have it repaired or not. Please give us a call or better yet, send us a detailed email with YOUR complete contact information plus the model, HPLC serial number and detailed information about the issue you are having with your degasser to discuss your needs and we can forward you repair and service shipping return instructions.
